BOSTON, MASS., Aug. 24, 2017 – Webster Bank was named Community Partner of the Year at The Arc of Greater Plymouth’s annual recognition ceremony on June 28. The Arc of Greater Plymouth is a nonprofit community organization serving people with disabilities and their families in the Greater Plymouth area. It touches more than 2,000 people every year by providing family support, employment, residential quarters, and autism services. Webster has served The Arc during the past four years, not only as its primary banking partner, having financed the acquisition of a new building in Plymouth in 2012, but also as a leading sponsor of many of its fundraising activities and events. This year, employees in Webster’s Boston office participated in the organization’s The Giving Tree program by purchasing holiday gifts for a dozen Arc families that would not have been able to afford gifts or food without assistance. Accepting the award on Webster’s behalf were Boston Regional President Deb Drapalla and Ann Meade, senior vice president and relationships manager. Webster Bank is a leading regional bank living up to consumers, businesses, and the community since 1935.
